w.w.w. is an interactive weaving which recalls Jacquard's loom by toying with the pairing of weaving and technology. Unlike Jacquard's loom, w.w.w. utilizes the element of language. w.w.w. does not seek to construct actual words, but instead intends to emphasize their construction in order to draw parallels between textiles, language, and life. Just as we weave and write line by line, we live from moment to moment, only able to see the big picture after the moment has passed or read the sentence after it has already been written. Language, like fabric is made up of discreet bits strung together to create a meaningful structure.
